Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. returns to ABC September 23rd at 9/8c. The series, a spinoff of the recent Marvel movie blockbusters (The Avengers, Captain America and Iron Man), started a little bit slowly for me in its first season. I was almost ready to give up on it more than once due to some lagging story telling and scripting I just couldn’t stomach. But, I gave it a chance and weathered the storm hoping for the skies to clear.

And somewhere along the way that happened, the story became interesting, the script much more palatable and the show became something worth watching.

I’m looking forward to the character development in season 2 and where the story leads as S.H.I.E.L.D. has broken down and Coulson seems to be the last man standing. The internet is swimming in rumors and spoilers, some of which I have chosen to read, and, if you’re into that sort of thing, you can hit up mstarz or ibtimes if you dare (YOU ARE WARNED, SPOILERS  ARE IN THOSE LINKS. DON’T BLAME US FOR CLICKING!).

While Nick Fury has resigned from his position and it appears Coulson is the go to man, I don’t think this is the end of Fury. Fury is a key character in S.H.I.E.L.D. and I believe his return will be in the works at some point. It will also be interesting to see how the Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. storyline plays into the Avengers, Iron Man and Captain America franchise (if at all). What do you think Season 2 is going to bring us? Is Nick Fury done for good? Let us know in the comments below or on Google+, Facebook and Twitter. We would love to get your thoughts! Keep an eye out September 23rd 9/8c for Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. to return to ABC with 22 episodes!
