Birdman, starring Michael Keaton and directed by Alejandro González Iñárritu, is a black-comedy/drama about an actor who falls from his once iconic role of film superhero, to try and restore his once fledgling name through a Broadway play. The film looks rather interesting and I am a fan of Keaton’s work, who can forget his brilliant roles in Night Shift and The Dream Team? Of course we can’t forget his version of Batman.
I’m not sure this film is going to make it to the heights of blockbuster (like a Titanic) but I think it could pique some interest from a few people out there. Often times it’s movies like these that give the audience some real meat. Blockbusters tend to be consumer friendly while these films tend to attract a more discerning audience. From the trailer I can see the strength of Keaton’s acting, he’s really one of the greats at what he does. Check out the trailer below and you be the judge.
Keaton makes me want to see this movie, glad to see he’s still working and still has it. This is one I would very much consider throwing my money at in the theater. What about you? Let us know in the comments below or on Google+, Facebook and Twitter.
