Trailer: Brad Pitt Returns To World War II in Fury

|

If you liked Brad Pitt in Quentin Tarantino‘s historical fiction piece Inglorious Basterds, get ready for another assault. This time, Pitt plays a leader of a tank brigade in a Sherman Tank nicknamed “Fury” (or so it says on the barrel). He’s deep in enemy territory late in the war and it’s up to Pitt and crew to fend off a German squad at a crucial junction that needs to stay in Allied control. Thankfully, from the sounds from the trailer, that really bad accent from the Basterds film is gone.

The official synopsis from Sony Pictures:

April, 1945. As the Allies make their final push in the European Theatre, a battle-hardened army sergeant named Wardaddy (Brad Pitt) commands a Sherman tank and her five-man crew on a deadly mission behind enemy lines. Outnumbered and outgunned, and with a rookie soldier thrust into their platoon, Wardaddy and his men face overwhelming odds in their heroic attempts to strike at the heart of Nazi Germany.

Fury is directed by David Ayer (Training Day, The Fast and The Furious). Along side Pitt in supporting roles will be Shia LaBeouf, Logan Lerman, Michael Peña, Jon Bernthal, Jason Isaacs, and Scott Eastwood. The film arrives just in time for Veteran’s Day in the U.S. on November 14, 2014. Here is the international trailer released today.

HOW TO: Change system date in OS X ...

Do you think the guy who brought us The Fast and The Furious can deliver on a good World War II war film? Can the movie survive the disaster that Shia LeBeouf has created of himself ?  Be sure to comment below or hit us up on Google+, Twitter, or Facebook with your thoughts on it.
