After teasing us with a few images and short videos last week, the first full trailer for Furious 7 – the latest installment in the Fast & The Furious franchise – has hit the web. The trailer begins with an extended action scene and continues with what fans have grown to expect and love about the popular fast-cars-hot-women-muscle-bound-hunks series.
Starring the usual cast of Vin Diesel, Paul Walker, Dwayne Johnson, Michelle Rodriguez, Tyrese Gibson, Chris “Ludacris” Bridges, and Jordana Brewster, fans are in for a real treat with the addition of Jason Statham as the main bad guy. Check it out below!
There’s no shortage of star power as actors also joining the cast include Kurt Russell, MMA star Ronda Rousey (recently in The Expendables 3), martial artist Tony Jaa (Ong-Bak) and Cody Walker – brother of the late Paul Walker. Cody will be standing in for Paul as a body double for the scenes that weren’t completed before Paul passed away, and as we reported before, the production will consist of digitally placing Paul’s face over top Cody’s for those scenes.
The plot appears to be your typical revenge story as Statham plays Ian Shaw, brother of recently deceased Owen Shaw from the previous outing. But hey, this is Fast & the Furious we’re talking about, and as long as it has fast cars – old and new, eye candy for the guys and gals, and a heap of action, then we’re all happy campers!
