New Trailer, Details For Splatoon’s Single-Player Mode

Splatoon, Nintendo’s colorful entry into the multiplayer arena shooting genre, got a new trailer and new details revealed during the company’s direct Wednesday – including single-player mode.

Obviously the game is intended and designed to be played with friends first (or at least that’s the aspect Nintendo has been pumping up the most since E3), but it got a short two-minute teaser that showed off how you can play the game when your friends are all playing on their boring Xbox Ones and PS4s.

From the looks of it, you’ll be hunting down several types of enemies that are played up as outlaws, complete with their own wanted poster in a bizarre squid language. Just because it takes out the multiplayer aspect doesn’t seem to mean that single-player will no longer feature the same creative touches that the main game will have. The single-player teaser showed off all the color shooting, puddle jumping, hair flipping action we’ve seen since E3 earlier this year.

HOW TO: Change system date in OS X ...

Splatoon releases exclusively for the Wii U in Q2 of 2015.
