The Awesomepocalypse is here! As part of their first year anniversary celebrations for the Xbox One, Xbox has announced that Xbox Live Gold members will be able to play the latest from Insomniac Games and Microsoft Studios – their insanely fast and zany open world third-person shooter Sunset Overdrive.
The best part of the free 24 hour period, which started at 12:01am today, is that you will be playing a fully functional version of the game – able to save progress, and earn achievements.
Starting this Saturday, November 22, at 12:01 a.m. ET, Xbox Live Gold members on Xbox One will get to play Sunset Overdrive for free for 24 hours. The whole game is here: you’ll be able to earn achievements and save whatever progress you make before 12:01 p.m. ET on Sunday, November 23. If you decide to purchase the game at a later point, you will be able to start again right where you left off.
So what are you waiting for? Stop reading this, turn on your Xbox One and get grinding, wall-running, jumping, and shooting OD with your Flaming Compensator or TNTeddy Grenade Launcher in your quest to stop the outbreak caused Fizzle’s latest energy drink – OverCharge Delirium XT.
