Android users have been waiting with baited breath for this moment to come… Blizzard’s digital collectible card game, Hearthstone, is now available for Android tablets! Lucky players in Canada, Australia, and New Zealand can grab the Hearthstone Android port now, with other regions rolling out over the next few days.
Update 12/15/2014 7:03 PM – Hearthstone for Android tablets now appears to be available in all regions. Got get ’em!
Hearthstone launched on PC and Mac earlier this year, and was followed in April with an iPad version. Since then many players have been waiting for a Hearthstone Android version to launch, and that day has come. Unfortunately you’ll have to wait a little longer to play it on your phone as official phone support won’t be made available until early next year. Oh, and as a bonus, if you play a game on your Android tablet in Arena, Play, or Practice mode you’ll score yourself a free pack of cards to open!
Being that your cards and progress are tied to your Blizzard account and not any specific device, you don’t have to worry about progress not transferring. Everything you do on your Android tablet will be available on your PC and vice versa.
Players collect digital cards in Hearthstone and build decks based on their cards and a chosen class. Once they’ve built their deck, they can head into battle mode to play against others to see how their deck stacks up. If you haven’t played Hearthstone yet, you can check out our Curse of Naxxramas first impressions or check out the video below to see how it works.
