Vin Diesel’s Latest Not-So-Subtle Hint At Potential Inhumans Involvement

If Vin Diesel is to play a part in Marvel’s upcoming Inhumans film, he’s doing a terrible job of keeping it under wraps – and we’re perfectly ok with that. His latest not-so-subtle hint comes in the form of a recently updated Facebook cover photo that shows him in a (poorly) photoshopped Inhumans shirt with the text “ARE YOU INHUMAN?” splayed out behind him.

He first hinted at potentially being involved with Inhumans shortly after Guardians of the Galaxy released with an image of Groot and the quote “I get the strange feeling that Marvel thinks I’m Inhuman… Haha.” Unless someone at Marvel was simply commenting on his ginormous biceps and Vin wanted us to know about it, that was a pretty blatant hint that he could be involved with the Inhuman adaptation.

Diesel’s cover photos are rotated pretty frequently, and this one was only featured for five hours before being changed to a photo of him and his dog, Winston. If he did get a stern talking to for further hinting at his role in the movie, it’s unfortunate for him (but fortunate for the rest of us) that Facebook cover photo changes can’t be deleted off of one’s timeline, so it’s been up for a while now.

The most obvious fit for Diesel would be the the ruler of the Inhumans, Black Bolt. Not only does the bald, muscle-bound actor look strikingly similar to Black Bolt, the character also does not speak. This would potentially ease any worries that Marvel executives have about Vin Diesel playing two parts in two separate movies, since he previously played Groot in Guardians of the Galaxy.

It shouldn’t come as a surprise that Vin Diesel would be interested in more Marvel roles, either. Like anyone should, Diesel doesn’t shy away from the fact that he is a massive geek. He is, or at least was, an avid World of Warcraft and Dungeons and Dragons player, among many other fantastically geeky things he posts about on social media. At least in the public, he appeared to have an absolute blast being involved in the Marvel cinematic universe with his time as Groot as well, so it would make sense that he wants to do more work with the company – especially considering that the role of everyone’s favorite talking tree was simply voice work and no real physical acting.

Even if the photo is just a fan-made work that he thought was cool and wanted to throw up on his own page, it’s a sign that he’s interested in the role, which is encouraging for anyone hoping to see him in a proper on-screen role in a Marvel film.
