Sony Extends PlayStation Store Holiday Sale And Flash Sale To Atone For PSN Issues

Sony has announced that they are extending their Holiday Sale and Flash Sale on the PlayStation Store as a way to make up for the PlayStation Network (PSN) downtime over the past week. The Flash Sale will now run until 12:00pm Pacific Time on December 31st, and the Holiday Sale will go until 12:00pm Pacific Time on January 6th.

PSN outages were of course part of the rampant attacks from hacker group Lizard Squad, which took down both PlayStation’s online network as well as Xbox Live. Lizard Squad has said the attacks have stopped, but both services have been shaky at best since Christmas day. The group then went on to attack the private browsing service Tor, but have been mostly silent for over a day now.

Games involved in the sale haven’t changed, and you can still get some great deals on Sony’s biggest games. Most noteworthy in the Flash Sale are Dragon Age: Inquisition for $38.99, Destiny for $44.99, Madden 15 for $35.99, NBA 2k15 for $49.79, The Evil Within for $30, and The Walking Dead: Season Two for $6.25. Most of these aren’t on the insane level of Steam sales, sure, but you’d be hard-pressed to find much better deals on console games.

The full list of games, movies, and TV shows discounted in the sale (it’s a big’un) can be seen at the source link below.
