Dying Light developer Techland has released a video recorded just before Christmas featuring over 90 minutes of gameplay from their upcoming zombie survival horror game.
If you, like me, are on the fence about whether or not to purchase Dying Light, the video gives you a good indication of what to expect. Lead game designer Maciej Binkowski and producer Tymon Smektala sat down and streamed over 90 minutes of gameplay with commentary and even answered some questions in a Q&A chat session. The gameplay includes a look at the skill system involved, as well as the Old Town area and a side-quest chain called “Magic Fortress”.
Dying Light is an action survival game presented in the first-person perspective. The game is set in a vast and dangerous open world. During the day, you roam an urban environment devastated by a mysterious epidemic, scavenging for supplies and crafting weapons to help you defeat the hordes of mindless, flesh-hungry enemies the plague has created. At night, hunter becomes prey as the infected grow in strength and aggression – but even more lethal are the nocturnal, inhuman predators that leave their hives to feed. You will need to make use of all your skills and any available means to survive till dawn.

Dying Light releases on January 27th for Playstation 4, Xbox One, and PC in North America. The game releases on January 28th in Asia, Australia and New Zealand, and January 30th in Europe.
