Borderlands Gets Xbox One & PlayStation 4 Makeover With The Handsome Collection

Following a string of re-mastered games and collections for the Xbox One and PlayStation 4, 2K Games and Gearbox Software are joining the fray by bringing Borderlands: The Handsome Collection to the latest consoles from Microsoft and Sony.
The original Borderlands won’t be included and The Handsome Collection will only include Borderlands 2 and Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel. The good news for gamers though is that your progress from your Xbox 360 or PlayStation 3 will be transferable to your Xbox One or PlayStation 4 – but not across platforms, so don’t plan on loading up your PlayStation 3 saves on your Xbox One. Another new option being implemented is four player split-screen bringing back couch co-op to your living room.

The two game collection will set you back $59.99USD, as well as an insane amount of add-on content as ALL of the downloadable content for both titles is included. Not only do you get two games, but you will get the campaign add-ons, character customization packs, challenge arenas, extra classes, and more.
Should that not be enough for you, you can pick up the Claptrap-in-a-Box Edition which will be limited to just 5,000 copies worldwide and includes your very own remote-controlled Claptrap robot, as well as exclusive lithographs. Claptrap is fully functional and features:

  • Gyro technology to balance on one wheel allowing it to move wherever you want him to!
  • Voice samples of some of Claptrap’s most iconic lines that can be activated on command!
  • A real working camera in his “eye” that is streamed to your mobile phone, so you can see where Claptrap is headed!

Fully loaded but will hit your wallet hard!
Before you get to excited though, the Claptrap edition will set you back a hefty $399.
Borderlands: The Handsome Collection is set to release on March 24th in North America, the rest of the world should see it March 27.
