Rare '90s The Legend Of Zelda: A Link To The Past Comic Being Reprinted

A series of comics loosely based around The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past is being reprinted by Viz Media, the company announced on Twitter. The comics were originally printed in the now defunct Nintendo Power magazine in the early ’90s, and are being reprinted after being out of circulation for years.
The reprint, which looks as if it is coming in one book, is also getting some great cover art (which comes from one of the pages in the comics). It can be seen below in the tweet that Viz sent out yesterday:

The original comics were laid out in twelve chapters, many of which concluded with a boss fight against iconic Legend of Zelda baddies such as Ganon, Wizrobe, and Trinexx. The artwork and story were both done by Shotaro Ishinomori, who also worked on several other comic, manga, and anime series before his passing in 1998.
Viz Media is adding The Legend of Zelda to their already long list of licensed manga and comics series that they own the rights to distribute. This includes Sonix X, Dragon Ball, MegaMan NT Warrior, Street Fighter II, and more.  They are also the licensed distributor for the Pokemon and Naruto anime series.
The timing of the reprint makes complete sense, as Nintendo is ramping up the Legend of Zelda hype for the upcoming Majora’s Mask 3D, as well as a new console Zelda game coming to the Wii U sometime this year.
There are of course scans of the comic floating around the Internet (I’ll assume you can do the Googling if you want to find them), but this compilation will easily be a must-have for hardcore Zelda fans when it releases this May.
