2,996-Piece Lego SHIELD Helicarrier Is Enormous And I Want It

The Wall Street Journal recently got an exclusive first look at the Lego SHIELD Helicarrier – all 2,996 pieces of it. SHIELD’s iconic floating headquarters measures in at 11″ high by 31″ long by 17″ wide and is even big enough to house several smaller projects within it.
Along with the meteoric rise of The Avengers in pop culture has come the SHIELD Helicarrier along with it. Whenever there is a moment away from the action in any comic book, TV series, or movie, most events take place within the Helicopter.
In total, there are 12 microfigures that can be placed throughout the ship’s Lego , both on two separate runways and even inside the massive structure itself. These include “microscale Quinjets, fighter jets, and ground support vehicles.” Along with the multiple vehicles and the giant Helicarrier itself, there are also several minifigures included such as Nick Fury, Black Widow, Captain America, Hawkeye, and Maria Hill.
If you’re thinking this will come at a reasonable price, you would be wrong. All of this costs a whopping $349.99 when it becomes available in March. Maybe a little late to ask a relative for the project for Christmas, but maybe the Easter Bunny is a Marvel fan and will be extra generous this year.
