First Look At Dave Bautista As Spectre's Mr. Hinx

|

Last month we got a first look at some behind-the-scenes footage of Spectre being shot, and this month’s issue of Empire Magazine is going in-depth with the cast and crew of the film. Empire’s online arm released part of the feature, including the first look at Dave Bautista as the villainous henchman Mr. Hinx. Bautista seems enthused by the role as well, even making a reference to his metaphor-catching character he played on Guardians of the Galaxy. He’ll be playing a slightly more intelligent character this time around.

“When I came over to meet Sam [Mendes], I only asked two questions. I asked him if Mr. Hinx was a badass. He said, ‘Yes, he’s a badass.’ I said, ‘Well, is Mr. Hinx intelligent?’ He said, ‘Very.’ That’s what I like about Mr. Hinx. He’s very well-dressed and very well-mannered. I’m not just here to fight people. He has a sense of humour. He definitely knows what a metaphor is.

Not much is known about Hinx’s role in Spectre yet, but he’ll likely be working for the main antagonist, Oberhauser (played by Christoph Waltz). In the released image showing Dave Bautista playing Mr. Hinx, the character doesn’t look to be hiding the fact the he is a henchman. He sports a black coat, a black hat, and black gloves along with his unique, and awesome-looking, double-barreled pistol.

Along with the first glimpse of Mr. Hinx, Empire also released a new behind-the-scenes image of Lea Seydoux, who plays one of the new Bond girls, Dr. Madeleine Swann. As Seydoux explains, however, Dr. Swann is not a “typical” Bond girl.

I don’t consider myself a Bond girl. I think I’m not really the stereotyped Bond girl. I feel quite different. You can’t be like, ‘Oh, James.’ You have to find something else. She’s not a fighter, she’s a doctor. She fights in another way.

Spectre is the 24th Bond film, and it is set to release on October 23, 2015 in the UK and on November 6, 2015 in the US.
