New Trailer For Disney's Surreal Mystery Adventure Tomorrowland

|

Tomorrowland is only a few months away at this point, and this new trailer is the longest yet for the Brad Bird film. In the 180-second preview we see a lot of the dark undertones that may be present when the film releases in May. A lot of close encounters, fun action, bizarre time travel, and a rocket-powered bathtub are all showcased as well.
Similar to the Pirates of the Caribbean franchise, Tomorrowland is based off of a popular Disney theme land of the same name. Feeding off of Walt Disney’s futuristic views and ideals, the theme lands (and presumably the film) show fantastical visions of what the future could hold. Based on the two trailers we’ve seen for the George Clooney-led movie, it will put a darker spin on the tale.

The film is being directed and co-written by Brad Bird, who also took the lead on recent award-winners Ratatouille and The Incredibles. He also recently wrote and directed Mission: Impossible – Ghost Protocol. Co-writing the picture is Damon Lindloff, most known for his work on the convoluted plot of Lost, which is still debated on five years after it ended in 2010. He also wrote the screenplay for World War Z and Cowboys and Aliens.
Tomorrowland is set to release on May 22, 2015, and stars George Clooney, Britt Robertson, and Hugh Laurie.
