Coffee Stain Studios’ Goat Simulator is finally coming to the Xbox One and Xbox 360. What initially began as a joke prototype, the game was originally released for PC on April 1st last year, and has since been ported to OS X, Linux, Android, and iOS devices.

Goat Simulator is coming to Xbox One and Xbox 360! The latest in goat simulation technology is making its way to an Xbox near you. You no longer have to imagine what it is like to cause as much destruction as possible as a goat. Soon you’ll be able to pick up a controller and take on the world as a goat, racking up points as you destroy the world around you, using your insanely long tongue to drag people and objects to their demise. You could always pool your money with friends and buy a real goat instead – they’re not that expensive – but you will be able to do a lot more with them on Xbox than you can in real life!

In Goat Simulator, as the title indicates, you control a goat. While controlling the goat, you can jump, run, bash items, and lick objects which then attaches the goat to that object and results in the goat being dragged around the screen. The goal is to perform and chain together stunts to earn points, and collect gold goat statues which allows you to restart with additional modifiers enabled such as changing the goat model or adding jetpacks.
While the game didn’t fare well review wise, it certainly gained popularity among players and has sold over 2.5 million copies across all platforms. Even though the game was originally developed by Coffee Stain Studios, the Xbox 360 and Xbox One versions are being developed and will be published by Double Eleven and is expected to launch in April.
