The rise of Nintendo’s amiibo figures has brought on a lot of feelings besides the urge to buy every single one of them, believe it or not. A lot of people have also found a creative outlet in the little figures. One such creative individual, an etsy user who goes by the name LuapLand, has been hand-painting custom Pikachu amiibo and I need every single one of them.
Each of the custom amiibo are painted with acrylic paint and coated with a matte finish, and each comes in the original packaging thanks to LuapLand cutting a hole in the bottom and careful taking them out. The ones featured on their page currently are Batman, Mario, Link, Fox, Finn, Totoro, and more. On top of all those they also take requests. Each figure is made to order and takes around two weeks to deliver.
It’s also worth noting that LuapLand does other great-looking alterations as well, such as color alterations on Sonic, Yoshi, Kirby, and others.
If you’re buying them just to play with, the $48 price tag might come a bit steep, but buying them simply for collecting and having the conversation starter of “why do you have a Pikachu amiibo wearing a Where The Wild Things Are head?” may be more than worth the price.
