Borderlands: The Handsome Collection released today on the Xbox One and PlayStation 4, and if you’ve already launched it you may notice a day one patch which not only addresses various bugs, but also adds the Claptastic Voyage and Ultimate Vault Hunter Upgrade Pack 2 DLC packs.
Claptastic Voyage and Ultimate Vault Hunter Upgrade Pack 2 is the fourth add-on pack for Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel. The update also adds cross-save support to transfer your saves from the Xbox 360 to Xbox One or PlayStation 3 to PlayStation 4, respawnable bosses in The Pre-Sequel, as well as loot unlocks for Tales from the Borderlands season pass holders.
Note that your Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel unlocks will be tied to the platform on which you own the Tales from the Borderlands Season Pass for. So:
- Xbox One or PS4 Tales from the Borderlands Season Pass owners can redeem their loot in the The Handsome Collection on the same platform
- Xbox 360 or PS3 Tales from the Borderlands Season Pass owners can redeem their loot in Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel on the same platform (note that these can then be transferred to The Handsome Collection using the Cross-Save functionality)
- Android and iOS Tales from the Borderlands Season Pass owners can redeem their loot in the Steam version of Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel
The post by Gearbox indicates that “although the update is large (as it’s adding an entire and brand new add-on campaign), we strongly recommend that all players download it before playing The Handsome Collection.”
