A slip of the button may have let the cat out of the bag and revealed a Halo 3: ODST release date of this Friday, May 29th. Many Halo gamers have been patiently waiting for the release following issues with the release of Halo: The Master Chief Collection. Part of the extended olive branch towards gamers from 343 Industries included releasing a remastered version of Halo 3: ODST and it was expected sometime in May.
A listing for the game appeared briefly on the Xbox store and displayed a release date of May 29th – this Friday – and a download size of 8.1GB.
The listing has since been removed and the official Halo Twitter account has indicated that it was inadvertently listed and is simply a placeholder.
