The Xbox One version of The Witcher 3 has suffered from a few bugs since launch, and the previous patch which made the actual gameplay run smoother had the adverse effect of causing cutscenes to stutter. At times the current version of the game will run above 30FPS, while at other times it will noticeably dip below that – mostly during cutscenes but I’ve noticed a few other times during non-combat play that it has dropped as well.
Hopefully the locking of the framerate to 30FPS will provide a smoother gaming experience for the Xbox One version of The Witcher 3. There is no word yet as to when the patch will arrive but hopefully it will be soon as the PC version has already seen a number of patches.
