It’s been thirteen years since The X-Files went off the air after nine seasons. The event series will be led by series creator/executive producer Chris Carter and both David Duchovny (currently starring in Aquarius) and Gillian Anderson (currently starring in the cancelled Hannibal) will be returning to reprise their roles as F.B.I. agents Mulder and Scully.

HOW TO: Change system date in OS X ...

Over the course of the nine season run, The X-Files earned 6 Emmy Awards, five Golden Globes and a Peabody Award. Agents Mulder and Scully were tasked with solving unexplained cases which had a paranormal flair to them and while the show started as a small sci-fi hit it quickly became a massive global hit.
