Agent Carter Season 2: Sun, Sea, and Secret Agents

|

After what feels like an eternity of waiting, we’re finally getting some information on season two of everyone’s favorite Marvel universe TV show – Agent Carter. This season, Peggy Carter (played by Hayley Atwell) will be working not in New York, but in sunny Los Angeles. Don’t panic, she’s still working for the SSR, just in a new location. While the show’s producers haven’t revealed just what she’s in the City of Angels for, they have stated that they are excited to use LA’s differences from New York to inspire the direction the show takes.

While the location is new, rest assured that viewers will get to see some familiar faces in season two. Agents Sousa and Thompson are back, and (more importantly), so is Jarvis! The producers haven’t revealed why he’s there, but it doesn’t look like Howard Stark will be appearing this season, leaving quite the mystery as to why Jarvis is in LA.

On a more personal note, last season saw Peggy dealing with the loss of Captain America as well as her romantic feelings for him, leaving many to wonder if a new romance could be brewing in this next season. The producers have hinted that while it may be possible, don’t expect Agent Carter to just jump into a relationship. Instead, what viewers will likely get is a look at how the new characters from Los Angeles affect the very-serious Agent Carter.

Now, on to the big stuff: the villain. While no one wants to spoil anything major before the first episode even airs, the producers have given viewers a few hints for what to expect from this season’s big bad. You may wish to brush up on your comic-book knowledge, as the main villains (yes, there’s supposed to be more than one!) are going to be recognizable from the Marvel comic universe.

The new season of Agent Carter premieres in January. So, until then, if anyone reads Marvel comics religiously and has an idea of who Agent Carter’s main villain is going to be, let us know in the comments below, or on Google+, Twitter, or Facebook!
