The Flash: Sneak Peek At A New Costume

|

Not really a surprise since it was teased in the first season but, part of the new costume for The Flash has been revealed. As it stands at the moment the only difference is the emblem in the center now has a white background in place of the previous red. What we don’t know yet is if the costume itself is a brighter red or still the deep red from season one. Maya Mani designed the new suit along with the new outfit for ‘Green’ Arrow that Stephen Amell showed off to the crowds at Comic-Con.

So what does this mean for the Scarlet Speedster? No one really knows at this point but Greg Berlanti (one of the shows producers) has been saying for a while that they plan to dig deeper into the comic’s lore for stories. With the change to the costume to make it more like that of the comics and the announcement that he was getting new powers it’s possible, if not likely that Cisco will have to design and build a new suit to accommodate the changes.

Something we do know is that Barry does eventually become a super hero (at least in one timeline). That was mentioned in Season 1 when they discovered Wells’ hidey-hole and Gideon; a computer apparently designed and built by Barry himself. With the coming changes in the show it will be interesting to see how Barry grows into the fully heroic version of himself, or if this timeline goes in a completely different direction. Either way something that will have to be addressed is the public persona of the Flash. Unlike the other shows (Arrow, Legends) the public is well aware of Flash, he’s a public figure in a way.

HOW TO: Change system date in OS X ...

What do you guys think of the upcoming changes to the show? Tell me in the comments below.
