If you still have not gotten your fix of Guardians of the Galaxy yet and cannot wait for the sequel to come out in 2017, then the animated TV series might be able to help hold you over until then.  Starting in two months at the end of September on Disney XD Star-Lord and the whole gang will be coming to your TV to do a little good and a little bad.

The all-star cast from the movie will not be doing the voices of the characters in the animated series however. Peter Quill/Star-Lord they will be voiced Will Friedle, Rocket Raccoon by Trevor Devall, Groot will be done by Kevin Michael Richardson, Drax the Destroyer by David Sobolov, and finally Gamora by Vanessa Marshall. The voice actors have all done many other projects so it should still have some good voice acting. For Groot how difficult will it be to say “I am Groot” a few times an episode?

Since the movie was such a hit, grossing over $750 million, many people have been excited about the sequel and anything else having to do with Guardians of the Galaxy. The first episode of the new animated series will air September 29th on Disney XD but there will be a special sneak preview that will be airing on September 5th.  You can check out the teaser trailer for the new animated series in the video below.

In the meantime, every Saturday night in August, Disney will be playing shorts on Disney XD to help you learn more about each of the Guardians before the animated Guardians of the Galaxy show airs in the in two months.

Are you excited for the new animated series of Guardians of the Galaxy, or was the first movie enough to hold you over until the sequel comes out in two years?  Let us know in the comments below, or on Facebook, Google+, or Twitter.
