With over 100 million downloads and 68 billion minutes played, Disney’s Frozen Free Fall is to match-3 puzzle games what Deadpool is to cosplayers, cheap fun and ultimately unkillable.
The wildly popular multiplayer game is now available on Steam, PS4 and Xbox One. While the initial download and first few rounds are free, the game’s model will eventually require you to take advantage of their in-app purchases if you wish to quickly replenish your stock of lives or invest in-game items that allow you to buy your way past the rules by, say, giving extra moves or clearing the field.
The item bundles start at a balmy Starter Pack at $1.99 and range to a chilly $9.99 Pro Bundle. Other offerings include season themed map packs, character skins, and other Frozen themed treats.
For those parents harboring children with wandering hands and a knowledge of online spending, it may be advisable to disable in-app purchases or risk inadvertently contributing to Frozen 2‘s budget.
