In anticipation of the rapidly approaching release of the conclusion perhaps the most talked about ongoing series today, the final trailer for The Hunger Games: Mockingjay – Part 2 is now online.
Following the trailer that was released at San Diego Comic Con earlier this year in July, this final trailer goes deeper into the revolution that was set into motion by the events in The Hunger Games: Mockingjay – Part 1. The trailer features Jennifer Lawrence reprising her role as Katniss Everdeen giving an impassioned speech in a call to take the Capital by force and depose the corrupt President Snow.
With the revolution looking to be in full swing, “Welcome the 76th Hunger Games,” looks to be a fitting tagline for the chaos that ensues as Katniss leads a team attempting to liberate the oppressed people of the nation of Panem from the control of Snow.
Josh Hutcherson and Liam Hemsworth return to complete the main trio of Katniss, Peeta Mellark and Gale Hawthorne respectively. With them is also a star studded cast including Woody Harrelson, Elizabeth Banks, Julianne Moore, Game of Thrones’ Natalie Dormier and the late Phillip Seymour Hoffman just to name a few.
The Hunger Games series as a whole has grossed over $2 billion worldwide, with all three being critical and box office successes. This will be the biggest end to a series since the end of fellow young adult phenomena Harry Potter and Twilight.
The final chapter of the wildly popular film saga based on Suzanne Collins’ young adult novels based on the same name is set for a worldwide release on November 4 in Berlin, and will be released in the United States and Canada on November 19th.
