Disney Announces Movie Dates: 3 New Marvel Films, Incredibles 2, Toy Story 4, And More

Disney is clearly finalizing their studio schedule plans as they announced the release dates of 19 films ranging from 2017 to 2020. Marvel mostly received adjustments to release dates but also got three new untitled film dates in 2020 as well as an Ant-Man sequel, while a plethora of Untitled Disney Fairy Tales and Untitled Pixar Animation movies now heavily populate the calendar.

Considering Marvel already has a jam-packed schedule with the end of phase 2 and the entirety of phase 3 of the MCU already in motion, the announcements of three titles getting moved up and three untitled films to be released in 2020 that will all fit into phase 3 of the MCU. Marvel’s official timeline now looks like this:

  • May 6th, 2016 – Captain America: Civil War
  • November 4th, 2016 – Doctor Strange
  • May 5th, 2017 – Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2
  • July 28th, 2017 – Spider Man
  • November 3rd, 2017 – Thor: Ragnarok
  • February 16, 2018 – Black Panther (moved up from July 6th, 2018)
  • March 8, 2018 – Captain Marvel (moved up from November 2nd, 2018)
  • May 4th, 2018 – Avengers: Infinity War Part 1
  • July 6th, 2018 – Ant-Man and the Wasp
  • May 3rd, 2019 – Avengers: Infinity War Part 2
  • July 12th, 2019 – Inhumans
  • May 1st, 2020 – Untitled Marvel Studios Film
  • July 10th, 2020 – Untitled Marvel Studios Film
  • November 6th, 2020 – Untitled Marvel Studios Film

The non-Marvel section of Disney’s schedule has the official announcement of Incredibles: 2 in 2019 and Cars 3 in 2017. Unfortunately all of the scheduling changes pushed Toy Story 4 back a year, but there is plenty left on the docket to keep fans entertained. Here’s the official rundown of the rest of their announcements:

  • March 9th, 2018 – Gigantic
  • June 15, 2018 – Toy Story 4 (moved back from June 16th, 2017)
