Game of Thrones Season 6 Confirmed For April

HBO’s popular Game of Thrones series based on the A Song of Ice and Fire novels by George R.R. Martin will be back in full force in the spring. The show usually debuts in April, and HBO confirmed via Twitter that Game of Thrones Season 6 will indeed be back in April after rumours it may be delayed.

If you’re a bit behind in catching up with Game of Thrones, you might want to stop reading now as what follows will include some spoilers.

***SPOILER ALERT***

Here’s your last chance to avoid any spoilers, turn back now if you aren’t caught up.

HOW TO: Change system date in OS X ...

OK, for all those caught up, you probably know by now that the series has pretty much caught up with the books. In the show, and at the end of A Dance with Dragons, everyone’s favourite hero has been stabbed (presumably to death based on the scene in the show). So it’s VERY interesting to see none other than Jon Snow gracing the teaser released by HBO. There has been much speculation that Snow isn’t dead, is dead but going to be revived by the Red Priestess, or is dead and going to come back some other way. Because the next books in the series haven’t been released yet, now is a fun time for avid Game of Thrones fans who have read the books and followed the show, and this clue into Snow’s status will no doubt be widely discussed between now and April.

Are you excited for the next season of Game of Thrones? What do you think happened to Jon Snow? Let us know in the comments below, or on Google+, Twitter, or Facebook.
