Slated for release last November, the fate of Telltale’s episodic The Walking Dead: The Final Season was put in jeopardy after the company announced massive layoffs.
The even better news is that Kirkman’s plan is to keep the original Telltale development team intact (if possible) for the completion.
If true, this would leave gamers who purchased the game in order to get all four final episodes with half a game and an unresolved storyline.
While both projects were at various stages of development, the Telltale closing left a lot of questions in the air as to the status of each of these projects.
A staff of 25 employees remain to finish off The Walking Dead: The Final Season.
The Complete First Season is now available to download in the U.S., Canada, Mexico, Australia, and most countries in Europe for $24.99 USD.
The game will be available to pre-order on June 8th for the PC, Xbox One, and PlayStation 4 for $19.99USD.
