Amazon Throws Huge Party, Puts Hearthstone Card Packs On Sale

Well, the party may or may not be made up, but the celebration is real and Amazon is so excited that Hearthstone is out on mobile devices that they are running a limited time offer on Hearthstone card packs. Originally priced through Blizzard’s in-game store, 2 card packs will run you $2.99, or you can get 7 for $9.99, 15 for $19.99, or 40 packs for $49.99. However, thanks to a neat little thing called Amazon Coins, players can purchase their card packs through Amazon’s Appstore and get more bang (or murlocs, depending on what kind of deck you like to roll with, [Priests4lyf]) for your dollar.

If you can peel yourself away from your phone screen for just a few minutes in between Arena runs, let me give you the skinny: Amazon Coins are like Internet money only good on Amazon. You can buy 500, 1000, 2500, 5000, or 10000 of them at a time and the more you buy the more you save! 500 coins will get you a 4% discount, 1000 is a 5% discount, 2500 is at an 8% discount, and 5000 and 10000 both have a 10% discount. The current exchange rate is 100 Amazon Coins = $1. So 10000 coins would run you $90 but would be worth $100, because math is silly and discounts are fun.

Now you throw Hearthstone card packs into the mix and things get tricky but stay with me. For every $20 or more you spend on a Card Pack, Amazon will give you 30% of your Amazon Coins back. So if you spend $20, or 2000 Amazon Coins, you get 600 coins back ($6 equivalent). Still with me? Now up that to $50 (5000 Amazon Coins) and you get 1500 coins back. If you go Super Saiyan and drop the $90 on 10000 Amazon Coins, Amazon will give you 106 card packs. One. Hundred. And. Six. Card. Packs. Each pack has the usual 5 Hearthstone cards and 1 card will be Rare or better. And suddenly you have 530 (is this real life?) cards and a LOT of winning to do.super-saiyan

Remember, it’s a limited time only and only available to customers in the US, UK, and Germany (I know, it’s racialist, but I don’t make the rules. Sorry rest of the world). Customers also have to be signed into the US or EU Hearthstone servers. Owning a pet murloc will also give you extra internet bonus points that are non-refundable, non-transferable, and have no monetary value at all.

Happy hunting!
